First Day of Summer Vay Cay

Wow Summer already!  Where to start?   So much to do!  Yesterday was in the 90's and we were at Mar  &  Dan's helping to get ready for Amber's graduation party.  Today when I finally got going I cleaned our bathroom and shower, our bedroom and the blue guest room, including 5 windows inside and out.  The curtains are all washed and ironed, scheduled a load of Dr. appts. for Amanda and changed one of mine.  Day went quickly.  Dark, cloudy, somewhat rainy day.  The only people I talked to was the Dr. offices!  Never left the house.  Read a magazine for lunch.  Pretty quiet here.  Sure miss Casey.  The jingle of her collar and tags, the click of her claws on the tile, letting her in and out, checking on her, sharing whatever I eat, listening to her get a drink at the water bowl...it is pretty empty here.  Wish she was still here, young and troublesome, under foot.  It's true, you never appreciate what you have....until it's gone.  Our vet, Dr. Crisp said that we will know when it is time to get another dog and who the right dog will be.  I knew when it was time to say good-bye....probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do.  She was right...Dr. Crisp was always right about everything where Casey was concerned.  She was always right.  It is what it is and I miss her soooo much.  It is so empty here.
