TGIF and I am overwhelmed as usual!

So, the day started with not much sleep after yesterday's student incidents.  Anyway,  the day progressed to my prep when we met with a parent of one of the problem students (hopefully issue resolved) and I saw my new math coach in the hallway.  Forgot she was coming today for my worst hour of the day.....3rd.   I have 34 students, many problematic, and it is a nightmare.  Hopefully after observation she had comments that will help.  Fast forward to the "dance" after school.  I ran out to get a soda between school and the dance.  There was a problem with the DJ and we had crazy 7/8th graders to deal with but nothing compared to getting ready to leave and I could not find my keys.  Ran out to my car only to see them on the front seat with a door that was locked.  Thank goodness my principal has "connections" and within 5 minutes we had a "guy" that is connected to the HPD retrieving my keys.  What was amazing was how fast he was in my car.  Saved Otto a trip with the spare key or a call to AAA.   What a way to start the weekend..........It is what it is!  When I mess up, I do it big time!!!!

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  😳  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
