Venting on the first day BTS

So am I so spoiled that the curtains I washed and put up over 2 weeks ago, in my classroom, hanging on to a 10 foot ladder, were ripped off today, thrown into a pile, to put up shades....on the DAY we come back to school????? The "guy" told me he didn't put them back because they were all dirty!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so angry that i said, "they were washed and put up two weeks ago, I spent 45 minutes on a very tall ladder" and he said "are they fire retardant?" I stopped my mouth from the reply what was in my head and walked away....the only thing retardant was him! Really, you had all summer to do this!!!!!

 I know I should be grateful I have a job and after 20 years I am, but why can't others do THEIR job?

 We had no internet and were told we had to complete an on-line piece today by 3:00.

The floors in the hallway and stairs were filthy and sticky and we had "Open House" for 7th graders at 2:00. There was a dirty mop head hanging on the stair rail.

 Shall I go on? Already depressed about the condition of our almost 100 year old building. There is the right way, the wrong way and our way! Leaving names out! It is what it is.

Delta Dog Days 3

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  ðŸ˜³  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
