Whew! Everyone went home, the house got cleaned and it is time to decorate! I have been busy every night and wonder when...cards are almost out, we have students tomorrow, Eid is over and 2 days of in-service is finished. Hated to see everyone go home...it was soooo much fun. Amanda left Monday night and will be home in 2 weeks! Off to bells tonight getting ready for next concert on Sunday the 2oth, 2 at church and 1 at Clarenceville High school with Livonia Civic Chorus. It has been raining and getting cold. Hope the outdoor stuff gets done before the snow hits. Cut the tree on Sunday and idiot that I am dropped my debit card when I pulled out my license to ID my check. Thank God for honest people. The tree farm people found it and called the bank who called me. Poor guy spent an hour on the phone thru the bank menu and convincing the bank he had found the card. I am so sorry that I am such a dummy! Went to outlet stores with Amanda on Monday and had to write checks!!! LOL Idiot drivers out tonight, slow people, UPS store that was arguey, broke a nail trying to slam a wet trunk and yada yada...it is what it is!

Day 103

Today is June 23, 2020 the 2nd day of summer.  It is dark and woke up to rain (and Lucy barking).  We need the rain.  After a flooding spring, it has been hot and dry.  Everything is looking August especially the lawns.  I am painting Amanda's room (2nd day).  Ceiling and patching done yesterday, walls and floor trim today.  Did Matt's room last week, took 3 days with all the trim and chair rail.  Turned out nice and soft.  Used Mineral Green.   Amanda's room is called Cement Pots.  Both are Magnolia Homes pain and it is a dream to work with.  One coat, quickly dries and looks great. Removed the 30-year-old linoleum from the stairs but had to have our Handy-man steam off the guck left.  Now we will sand and paint a dark grey.   Using non-skid.  I can't stand the thought of carpet or peel & stick tiles. Mouse Hell

Today started out normally.  Drove to west side of state to start auction process on my brother's house.  We had to meet with the realtor and make a list for auction.  Lots of cool old stuff but just about everywhere there are mouse signatures.  2 minutes in the "house" and one ran by the door.  No one has lived in the "cabin-in-the-woods" since November last year.  Chipmunk was next.  An "out" building housed a whole family of mice.   I nearly passed out right then and there.  Lots of goodies to sell.   Nicole from Rehab Addict would love this place.  Truly a paradise, but, to this now city girl, I was glad to be back in suburbia.   It is what it is.
