Off to Class


No time to blog today, I am off to class with Amanda. She has permission to tag me along in her 1950's media class, and 1950's history class. Probably thinks I am a living text book. Then after second class this afternoon, something about plays, we will be going to rehearsal until 11:00. Long day! Blog later....ttfn.

On campus with Emily and Amanda in first class. Amanda had to go for a fitting for her costume for "Bridge to the Stars". So interesting. Class will be starting soon. I feel sooo old. I am usually teaching not participating or even watching!

Well now they are talking about the Period of Enlightenment....remember most of this but it is a little snoozy. Got an email from Otto today, it is his birthday. Michigan expecting even more snow tonight. 3-5 inches. My school beta fish, Mrs. Dobos VII died. One less fish to take care of and take back and forth. Also said that our Senator from Hamtramck/Highland Park had a snowblower accident and ended up having surgery on his hand but will be ok. Yikes! I told him I miss him but not Michigan and the snow. Am getting a bit concerned about flying back on Saturday. Late afternoon flight to Houston and coming in to DTW about 11:30. We have a bell concert on Sunday morning and need to be there at 8 AM. Hope she has me covered....just in case!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Halloween.....almost

Am dog tired and my hand is throbbing....dare I complain....only 3 weeks ago tomorrow from surgery.  After a haircut, 2 stops and bell choir, finally home.   No TV in family room after cable guy was here for 2 hours today.  Ready for a cool  (to me anyway) day of Halloween math coordinates puzzles (graphing on the coordinate plane to make a pumpkin picture) and lots of candy to hype them all up!!!  Don't know if I should get ready for Halloween, suppose to have super Halloween storm tomorrow....can we just postpone until Friday night????  Home made chicken soup tonight.....yum...It is what it is and this is my only blog for October.......darn!

First Day of Summer Vay Cay

Wow Summer already!  Where to start?   So much to do!  Yesterday was in the 90's and we were at Mar  &  Dan's helping to get ready for Amber's graduation party.  Today when I finally got going I cleaned our bathroom and shower, our bedroom and the blue guest room, including 5 windows inside and out.  The curtains are all washed and ironed, scheduled a load of Dr. appts. for Amanda and changed one of mine.  Day went quickly.  Dark, cloudy, somewhat rainy day.  The only people I talked to was the Dr. offices!  Never left the house.  Read a magazine for lunch.  Pretty quiet here.  Sure miss Casey.  The jingle of her collar and tags, the click of her claws on the tile, letting her in and out, checking on her, sharing whatever I eat, listening to her get a drink at the water bowl...it is pretty empty here.  Wish she was still here, young and troublesome, under foot.  It's true, you never appreciate what ...
