What a Wonderful Day

Happy 10-10-10 everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to our wonderful neighbor, Canada. We are so grateful to you. Had a busy beautiful day. So summer like...near 80. Matt & Dana are in Wash. DC with Andrew & Brian. They sent pics from my favorite places....Washington National Cathedral and the airport park at Reagan National Airport, watching the planes come in. Oh, I am so jealous! They also went to Cupcake town at Georgetown and Arlington Natl. Cemetery. I did the Nov./Dec flowers for church, Worship Oct. minutes, corrected a mound of papers, prepared lessons, washed windows, laundry, rugs, treadmill, walked the dog, cooked a roast and other things I have already forgotten. I wish every day could be like today. Kinda getting over my depression but still hate to leave Holbrook. Trying to look forward to a new chapter but wishing I had chosen it instead of having it chosen for me. Still have laryngitis but the asthma seems to have quieted down some. Probably less wet and not as cool. Looking at 16 for dinner on Thanksgiving. Scheduling my foot surgery for Nov. 3rd. Hope I have recovered by then. So many changes this year...it is what it is....missing the old!

Delta Dog Days 3

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  ðŸ˜³  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
