Boston, Bean Town, Boston Strong.....

Awesome city.  Really impressed with how easy it is to walk and walk alone.  Met Brian for lunch today with the Friday Food Truck....Chicken, rice, lamb, salad and pita.  So much, so good......6.00!  Took off to the Boston Commons and spent the afternoon wandering through the gardens, Cheers, Massachusetts State House, several churches, walked back to pick up Brian and home again.  Stopped at cleaners, wine store (only 1 bottle of White Zin), convenience store and will walk later to grocery store for dinner.  Waiting for Otto to arrive.  Still in Detroit with a canceled flight, stormy and not knowing if he will arrive tonight or not.  It was foggy and misty again this morning but by lunch it became sunny, hot and humid.  Still awesome day!  So appreciative of being able to travel a bit and visit my kids and their cities.  I may never be rich and able to afford designer brands, fancy clothes, second houses, expensive vacations but I think I am a lucky girl to be able to travel a little and experience the wonders of our country.  It is what it is and today was good...even if my dogs are barking!

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  😳  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
