Boston Strong is almost Boston So Long....for me

Well, it is Friday already!  Went so fast but packed a lot in.  Yesterday, Andrew hit a chunk of cement on the way to Providence (his new work remote office M-T) which is a 50 mile commute one way, and before he could get to the exit, the tire had gone flat.  The car is 3 weeks old and they have about 1000 miles on it.  He waited over an hour to get the service truck and had to return home surface routes, ending up going to the Ford dealer and replacing the tire.  (No Discount Tire in this part of the country, and he needed the car checked out for any damage anyway.)  We will be off soon to get the tire changed as they had to order it and replace the lug nut that could not be put back on!   Didn't let that stop us from a trip to Sullivan's fried clams on Sullivan's Island.   Yum but we ate ourselves sick. It was so cold we sat outside at sunset and shivered.  Home to a nice cozy fire and catch-up on Jeopardy (are we old or what?) and Modern Family.  Meeting Brian for lunch and my flight is late afternoon.   Beautiful blue sky day but still chilly.   The flowers and trees have been amazing.  My walk yesterday was over Beacon Hill, twice and all over the Back Bay area.  Not enough time to explore the shops and churches as several of the house museums have schedules and only are open 1-4.  It took almost an hour to walk back home as I had explored so far.  Went to the Nichol House and toured it, the Otis House (first house on Beacon Hill), checked out a couple others and enjoyed the beautiful neighborhoods built in the 1800s (Federalist style) and some churches.  Stopped at Whole Foods for daffodils and the wine store (go figure).  I wish I could walk through these beautiful neighborhoods every day (well maybe not those hills, bricks and cobblestones in the winter!).  I would be a size 8 in no time!  But, it is time to move back to reality and get back to work.  I have so many good memories this week and it is so good to be with Andrew & Brian.  It is nice that this area is so easy to navigate alone and I have so much to fill the time while they are working.  I wish we were all living  closer and could spend a month at a beach house this summer.....dream on.  It is what it is!
