Spring Ahead

Time change...already?   Takes so long to change ALL the clocks and watches.  It will mean the days are longer and more outdoor/dog walking time.   Busy sending out my Easter cards and cards for March.   Washed my car from stem to stern today.  First time since about October or November.  I could not stand the filth any longer.   The car wash is fine for freezing cold weather but they never really get it clean like me.  Got most of the paint off the bumper where I slid into the white mini-van taxi that probably had no license or insurance and no tail lights and I think the mini gap in the bumper can be popped back into place.  Not as bad as I thought the damage was going to be.   It was so dirty it was hard to tell.   Still some damage to the bumper where I hit a large umbrella on the highway last fall on a very windy day.   There it was in the left lane as I was going 70mph and no where to go.  Hopefully when I turn this car in at the end of May, the damage will not be charged against me.

On a brighter side, 2 weeks to go to LA and really true warmer weather!  I counted 6 robins while walking Lucy on Thursday, it's like they all returned at once.   Cardinals and robins chirping today, sure sign that spring is close.  Crocus  blooming like crazy.  Can't complain too much, we barely had a Michigan  winter this year!

It is what it is and we are less than 15 weeks until the end of the school year.   St. Patrick's Day this week and lots of activities next weekend!

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  😳  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
