Feeling Thankful.  Arrived home from school, went to take my watch and bracelets off and noticed my tennis bracelet missing.  I had stopped at a couple stores on the way home and didn't know where to start so I phoned and left my name etc.   I knew it was too late to call school or go back so I said a prayer and got Lucy ready for her daily walk.  I had emptied my purse, schoolbag and checked my car only to find nothing.  In the middle of the garage under the area where Otto usually parks I found my bracelet.  I nearly fainted.  I have had this for nearly 25 years and with minor repairs and yearly insurance have a lot of history behind this bracelet.  Otto gave me the bracelet on our 20th Anniversary.  I could write a chapter on all of the bracelet's escapades!   I lost it a Meijer when it caught on the cart and some sweet woman turned it in, I lost it at Plymouth Fall Festival and someone turned it in to the police!  I have it insured but it means so much to me.  Somehow it ended up right in my own house, the lobster claw clasp is loose....Divine Intervention???? It is what it is and I am feeling blessed tonight!

Delta Dog Days 3

We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes. UGH newborn. She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate. She is so small she got through the rungs of the deck. 😳 It is what it is. She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night! She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM. Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!! I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her. Back upstairs to do my hair etc. I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness. I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach). NOTE: new plan for pantry. Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs). School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more. I think I filled 10 boxes to re-cycle. I didn't get my bulletin boards done for fall (who knows where I will be anyway!) or my books sorted (paperbacks). Administrative whispe...
