Day 8 & 9 the weekend Quarantine

Saturday was not normal!   Did all kinds of cleaning and laundry and staying home.  Did my first order on Insta Cart.  Took me quite awhile to navigate but I recommend it.   My groceries arrived (most of the order and some I didn't order, some I didn't get and some was a substitute) within 4 hours.  Interesting!!!  Think I may continue doing this FOREVER!!!!    I need to try SHIPT also.
I have way too much lettuce and not enough eggs.   Learning along the way!!!

I took Lucy on a very long walk, started a 1000 piece puzzle (Otto made me a board to make it portable), learned to order food through Door Dash and Grub hub, connected with several friends, family, ordered some stuff on-line,

I am pleased to say that I have not been in contact with anyone for a week, other than Otto and a wave or a distant chat with neighbors,  not one store.  Trying to get him to distance also.

Otto is on day 2 with staying.   Glad I stocked up early with many things. (Sugar, flour, chicken, ground turkey, ground beef, prescriptions, paper products and lots of sauces to be able to put together dinners that I normally don't have to do.   Trying to figure out how to do my own nails (spoiled I admit and it has been at least 10 years), NOT cutting my hair, I will just let it grow out, can't get fresh flowers but I forced Forsythia from the yard,  ordered more stuff on line that I need/don't need but want and doing day by day.

My blue apron was cancelled for our spring break because I have ticket to LA to visit Amanda, Bryce and Harper.  Now I will cancel the ticket (not flying with this!) and can't get the blue apron back due to the demand.

Sunday was a new normal.  Did more of the yesterday same but for the first time in my life I went to church......on line.  Was a shortened message but still enjoyed all of it.  Thank you FPCP and Emily Campbell!

Meatloaf and baked potatoes are in the oven, Lucy had a very long (and it is cold-40) walk.   Connected with FaceTime to Hannah & Ethan and our Chicago kids.  They already miss school I am sure.

I am sorry for all of the cancelled showers, weddings, plans, social get togethers, work places, and this whole mess we are dealing with.  Never before.  Was reading an article about 75 years ago with the onset of Polio and the vaccine that saved the world.  Hope we will soon look back on this.  It is what it is and we all pray for an end soon.  Otto's mother will be 97 this week and she has pretty much seen it all and lived through it. Like the energizer bunny, she keeps going.

Stay safe!!!

I just cancelled my flight to LA over Spring Break....I don't mean to be selfish but am melted down
