Tuesday Afternoon.....Day 11 & Wednesday Day 12

Wearing down easily.  I have learned more internet stuff in the last week or so than my whole internet life.  I am googled to death!   Working 6 or more hours every day to google hangouts, google classroom set ups, google mail, wish I had never heard the term google before.

Days are harder than when we are teaching.   I have learned how to send an email letter through a parent portal, listened to webinars and gone chats, hangouts and just when I think I have it covered more stuff pops up to learn.

I can't tell you how much I am ready to retire and leave this to someone else.   I am glad that the weather has been decent and in the afternoon I have been able to walk Lucy and evenings, check on friends, FaceTime with family and order groceries on Shipt, Instacart and other "stuff" on Amazon Prime.

As many hours as we are trying to keep up and get ahead with lessons and students we can only hope we will be compensated for our time.

We have all cancelled appointments, evening activities, social interactions and our normal lives it will (hopefully) pay off with our health in the long run.  This virus is exponential.  Somewhere it has to end and we can only hope that will be soon.   It is what it is and we are all ready to see it END!

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
