Day 76...say whaaaaat?

I get busier and forget to post.  Day after day is pretty much the same.   Up, work, work, work, walk the dog, do the treadmill, fix dinner, go to bed.  We don't go anywhere and we don't see anyone.

Last weekend was Memorial Day so our big outing was to drive to Battle Creek to plant the cemetery flowers.  Took my dollhouse to my brother's house because the wiring needs to be fixed for the lighting and he offered to help me with it.  It is 35 years old and I don't have the knowledge to fix it.  I would love to figure it out but can't do much until the R word (retire)

Finished planting all 14 flats, pool is open and I was in it when it hit 90 degrees on Sunday (with a water temperature of 64.)   Heater was on and was better on Monday.

Still up to my eyebrows in school.  My hair is way too long and I just pin it up in this heat and humidity.  Don't even mention my nails.....ugh.  I know I am whining about stupid stuff but we are all sick of this virus and want normal!  Took Lucy to the vet for her vaccinations yesterday and they now do curbside pickups!

I feel like we are in the middle of July and it is still only May.  Working on an Amish Friendship bread recipe that my friend dropped off.  It takes 10 days until bread.

I am almost looking forward to going to school next week to clean out student lockers and closing up my room for the summer.  What awaits us in the fall?   It is what it is and no one knows what it is.

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
