28, 29, 30 Easter Quarantine
Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday
Days we had looked forward to that were days we still are in quarantine and staying home. My big event was taking the car out Friday to do a quick garage delivery for my M-I-L. I told her to open the garage and stay in the house but does she listen? NO, had to open the door and ask if I was coming in!!! WHAT!!!!!! Does not at all get this at 97.
Did some prep work for Sunday, more painting and took the dog for a long walk on Saturday.
Sunday was busy in that I cooked a big brunch of my egg and cheese casserole, sausages and champagne. Kept busy (no painting) listening to Sunday service, long dog walk, cooked a big dinner of ham, cheesy potatoes, salad, asparagus, yeast rolls, deviled eggs and a cherry cheese pie.
Had a fun FaceTime video with the whole family at 8:00 EST, crazy all at once with 3 kids 5 and under.
Today, Monday is our last day of Spring Break. don't know what tomorrow will bring with "school".
Took Lucy early as it was already very windy with more high winds predicted. Many people without power! Painted more doors. Down to 3 rooms upstairs and hallway doors. I guess I have to find new projects to do after school after doors are done. Baseboards need a coat of paint as does every room! I can choose paint on line and pick up at the store. Hope we are out of quarantine by then and there is word that the big garden centers will have order ahead and pick up without getting out of your car. We usually get 14 flats and this year it will be no different if it is allowed.
Wind has died down a bit but over 16,000 in this area are without power. Glad we switched to a gas stove and a gas fireplace. Temp has fallen to 42, and sunny and it feels like 30's. Feels and looks like Spring in Michigan. It is what it is.
