Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Days 22, 23, 24, 25.

I'm not keeping up here!  Plus the days kind of run in to each other!.  Weekends aren't as special because there is no place we can go and no one we can meet with.  I found some odds and ends around the house and made a few makeshift Easter cards for my 3 grandchildren and wrote them checks.  Not as much fun as shopping for something for them!

Talk with the neighbors a lot (from a distance of course), FaceTime a lot, watch a lot of tv and find A LOT of extra time that I never had before.

My puzzle is very hard and I can't stay with it long.  I walk Lucy every day.  I am cleaning more.  I started painting the white doors in the house (there is a ton of painting I need to do, it's been years).  It is too early to plant anything and we can't go to the store for supplies.

I did get a Shipt order on Monday that was placed in the morning.  She was very good and text me to let me know all the changes needed on my list.  She delivered everything by 9:00 that night!

My printer gave out and a new one arrived yesterday.  Highlight of the day!  Otto and Andrew installed it.  Back to everything.  Cleaning, painting, walking, routine.  It is what it is and it is becoming daily dull.  Thankful we are safe, warm, dry and fed. especially after that whale of a storm we had last night.  Poor Lucy had to have 2 anxiety pills.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Al Kaline's passing....Detroit icon.

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  😳  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
