Thursday April 2nd Day 20
Our governor has declared that the school year is over but we still have to remote learn. Don't know what that means. We have been working for 3 weeks, trying to learn all the on-line google everything, possible worksheet packets and this may be the hardest year ever for being a teacher. I have been in the business for almost 30 years. Ready to give it up to someone younger and more tech savvy than me. I am spending all day watching different webinars, and posts for Google classrooms.
Did my 3rd week of FaceTime piano lessons, paid with zelle, an app that replaces hands-on money.
Zoomed with my bell peeps last night, face time with everyone or google hangouts with staff, what in the world or where is the world going?
I drove my car for the first time in 2 weeks so the battery did not die. Just needed to the bank drive-thru to deposit an old check. It felt good to get out. No cars parked in store lots. We have become accustomed to getting what we want, when we want it and where we want it. I have been on insta-cart for a new order since Sunday to no avail. Target is all but shut down for orders or pick ups.
I am sad to be selfish but tomorrow I was scheduled to be on a plane (love love love) to fly to California to see my daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter for 10 days and spend Easter. I know I had to give this up but again, we are so used to getting everything we want. It is what it is and it is becoming a real pain in the ass to give up what we are normally able to get. This is NOT a normal virus that is paralyzing our country. Can only think ahead that it will be back to normal some time down the road, hopefully SOON. Spoiled beyond belief......at my age I should get what I want!!! Ha!
