Friday April 3rd and Saturday April 4th

Days 21 & 22

Getting lost in the days of COVID.  Friday was filled with last minute decisions on schoolwork and how we are going forward after spring break.  Glad we had a time to Google Hangouts with our team building associates.  (Virtual happy hour).  Did fish & chips and paid for it all night....never that much fried take out again!   Running out of TV shows!

FaceTimed with the entire family, Chicago:  Hannah & Ethan, Boston, and LA Harper.   I should have been on a plane to LA last night and arrived for my 10 day trip.  I get it and trying NOT to get it.

Saturday trying to fill the time since I can't fill the stores.   Raked yard, did some cleaning and laundry (yippeee skippeee) and did a social distancing with backyard neighbors, sent home-made Easter cards to my grandchildren since we can't buy anything and worked on my 1000 piece balloon puzzle.    B'dubs on line.    Still have an e-book to read and time for virtual lessons on Google.  Not suppose to work the next 10 days because it is Spring Break.  This is our new normal and it is what it is and NO ONE LIKES this!

Delta Dog Days 3

 We have not been able to leave her alone for more than a few minutes.  UGH newborn.  She is a sweetheart and not bothered or barking at other dogs. After I worked at the Thrift shop I took her up to the pool deck and locked the gate.  She is so small  she got through the rungs of the deck.  😳  It is what it is.  She is so sweet but so is needy and so challenging.

Delta Dog Day 4

 Beyond belief, we both got to sleep upstairs in our bed all night!  She could not scale the new gate and settled in her crate in the kitchen around 2:00 AM.  Otto gave me the night but after she settled, he came upstairs and she did not bark or whine all night!!!   I came down after a shower, took her outside on her lead and then fed her.  Back upstairs to do my hair etc.  I heard "something" and came downstairs to find that she had opened the pantry (that has a magnet closure on it for dog/children safety) and had a bag of marshmallows on the floor, not opened thank goodness.   I blocked it with a chair but removed anything that she could get to if she opened it again (within her reach).  NOTE:  new plan for pantry.   Later in the day we were sitting outside with her and she picked some cherry tomatoes and ate them (yes I checked on Google that they are NOT poisonous for dogs).  After dinner with friends, she snatched a corncob an...

School's out, teacher let the fools out!

No more pencils, no more books, no more STUDENT'S dirty looks! What a group I had this year, eiy yie yie! I can honestly say if I never see some of that bunch again, it will be too soon. Fun party last night...too tired to sleep! Nice feeling to sleep in. ADK party this afternoon, piano lesson (may have to re-schedule), picking up new car in Ann Arbor and going to Amanda's 2 baseball games. Nice video chat with Andrew & Matt last night. They get so silly! Brian landed safely in L.A. at 2:09 our time. His plane from Philly was delayed over 3 hours. All day to go 5 hours sucks, but he is safe! Congratulations Matthew Sandoval on your middle school graduation. Have fun with your family. I cleaned out 2 filing cabinets of old 4th grade files and old materials we don't use any more.
